Indian Dance: With permission from Bela who is from Bombay India.
Growing up in India as a young girl. Bela remembers Helen. A famous dancer, also a queen of silent movies. Recently Helen was honored with a lifetime achievement award. She captivated audiences for nearly five years. Other queens of Hindi films Aishwarya Rai, Raveena Tandon, Urmila Matondkar and Shilpa Shetty danced various sequences from Helen's films (from the fifties), up to her last performance in a musical called "Khamoshi". Everyone loved Helen! She was a sweetheart to the whole world. Helen was larger than life. More than a movie star, she was slim, with a petite figure and a very graceful/excellent dancer. Perfect in her cabaret costume.. Also a mystery of a thousand disguises. Always being herself. Yet a mixture of playfullness, and very glamorous. A perfect mix of "English and Indo-Burmese".background. Helen will always be the orginal "Bollywood" - A Legend.
